WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms, Italy (WWOOF™ Italy) is part of a worldwide movement linking visitors with organic farmers, promotes a cultural and educational exchange, and builds a global community conscious of ecological farming and sustainability practices.
WWOOF’s goal is to provide individuals from all around the world the opportunity to:

What you can do
The main activity on our farm is milking the goats and producing cheese and other dairy products. Therefore we offer the possibility to take part in the maintenance of our lovely Saanen- and Camouchate goats, very friendly and interested creatures. During the milking season we have to milk them in the morning by hand, filter the milk and free the herd on the fields, where they stay autonomously feeding grass, herbs and bushes and wandering around for kilometres, until the evening the milking procedure takes place again. We expect participation also in the stable mucking and during the kidding season on the lookout for baby kids, who are sometimes very talented to hide themselves – but unresistibly cute!

Goats give milk almost all year around; they only stop for 2,3 months before kidding season. This means that apart from this ‘vacation’ we have to produce cheese every day, so together with us you will learn …
Cultivate land

There is always something to do on our 50 hectare farm. Whether it’s maintaining the water supply, trail maintenance,building fences, cleanup, or working together to conquer overgrown places for land use. This also includes tree pruning, digging and much more. You get to know the vegetation of the land and experience life in all its simplicity anew.

Life with us on the farm is simple and offers you the most necessary. Depending on availability we can offer you an old caravan or a tent for accomodation. The kitchen, showers and all other things are outside and electricity is only available during the day through our solar system. The sea you can see in the distance is 10 minutes away by car, by bike you can reach the beach in 30 minutes and by foot it takes about 1,5 hours. It is advisable to bring at least a bike, so you can explore the country in your free time. You should be able to do things independently and act on your own responsibility. Do not expect too much, because life on the island is simple and modest. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place.
